Through Baptism, we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church, and made sharers in her mission: 'Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.'" Baptismal Dates
1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month @ 11:30am
(no private baptisms)Requirements
- Child's birth certificate
- [If parents divorced or separated, must agree with Baptism*]
- Baptismal class for parents and sponsors (godparents)**
- Sponsors must have received Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, and be practicing Catholics with no canonical impediment***
- Turn in the "Baptismal Packet" at least two (2) weeks before Baptism
- A contribution of $75 per child
- An incomplete "Baptismal Packet" will not be accepted
Guidelines and Requirements
Baptismal Packet
* If parents are divorced or separated a "Letter of Consent" must be submitted by the other party if custody is 50/50.
** Parents & Sponsors must attend class here or any other parish; at SRB there is a registration fee per person. A certificate of attendance is required.
*** Godparents or sponsors must be practicing Catholics. They must fill out a "Letter of Candidacy" and submitted with the "Baptismal Packet".
