Saint Cecilia Window Cecilia was a third century Roman virgin. She was reputed to be so close to heaven that she could hear the singing of angels. She could play any musical instrument and supposedly she invented the organ. On the window she is represented as a young Roman woman in light green robe and vine colored cloak. Her head turned as if listening to heavenly music. Two Angels descended from heaven surround her on top. She holds a harp. A Roman type building is in the background. There are lilies growing out of the half globe on which she stands, symbolizing her virginity.
