St Francis of Assisi

Saint Gerardo Window We see Francis standing there in dark brown Franciscan habit with rope around his waist. He is a humble little man, full of love. Through his life time he declared and manifested to his contemporaries that God's creation is good and holy and all creatures are our brothers and sisters. The son in top of the composition (as He called it "Brother Son") sheds his rays upon Him. He is surrounded by flowers and animals, rabbit and lamb. Birds are flying around him. The Poverello, as Francis was called, changed the world by intensely loving it and his impact is felt even today.

This was the first window we have installed. A lovely little girl died in a car accident. Her heartbroken mother wanted to establish a permanent memory of her in the church.
