The big question which challenges all of us is: how do I live out my discipleship of Jesus in this world? The daily demands that life places upon each of us make us aware of precisely how precious our time is so we wonder how and where do I find the time or place to answer that question. Throughout our deanery (which is a cluster of neighboring parishes in our region) we will be holding a night of spiritual development for young single adults, men and woman, 18 years of age or more. It will be an opportunity to come together once a month and discern with others the question about our discipleship in Jesus Christ. You are invited to attend the next meeting for our deanery. Masses will be celebrated at 8:30 am and 7:00 pm. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will begin at 9:30 am and continue until 6:30 pm. Confessions will be available Thursday afternoon from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. ADORATION SIGN-UPS You will find a sign-up sheet for the hours of adoration located in the vestibule today. We hope you will take a moment to not only spend some time with Our Lord, but also to let us know, by signing up for a specific time. Text Box: Msgr Healy fell last Sunday getting out of a car and fractured his upper right arm. He will be wearing a sling for the next 4 weeks until it is healed. He is doing really well and would like to thank you for your kind words and prayers. Last week Ruth Luna was mistakenly announced as deceased. We apologize to Ruth’s family and friends for this mistake. Please keep her in your prayers for a full recovery from this weeks surgery.
Text Box: 18th Sunday of Ordinary Time August 1, 2010 RELIGIOUS EDUCATION Text Box: CONFIRMATION Confirmation Enrollment – Mark your calendar for Orientation, Sunday September 12.   Those entering Year I please meet in the Parish Center at 2:00 p.m.  You will need to bring a copy of your baptismal certificate and at least one parent must attend Orientation with you.   Orientation is mandatory for enrollment and the program capacity fills up quickly.  The first session will begin on Sunday, September 26th.  You must be pre-enrolled on the 12th in order to attend classes on the 26th.   Returning teens moving into Year II will attend Orientation at 3:00 pm and will sign-up for their Fall small elective sessions at that time.  One parent and sponsor are asked to attend with the teen.  Any questions contact Colleen or Judith at 818-845-3522 Youth Ministry –  The Summer Zaca Mission is fast approaching!  Our teens will build bunk beds, paint, and make improvements to our YR II retreat facility in Santa Ynez.  See additional section of bulletin for details on how you can help!      Plan to bring the whole family out to the “Drive-in movies” on Saturday, August 21!   It’s FREE!!!         ATTENTION BOOTS (future youth leaders)!  Boot camp #3 will be Thursday, August 26.  At ease.
